INSPIRED BY NORWEGIAN HERITAGEHow We Came to BeThe United States of America is the land of opportunity, and Washington State is no exception. Our family seized that opportunity when we immigrated from Norway in the early twentieth century.
While our great state is now known for being a major business and technology hub, Washington has a heritage of bountiful natural resources and supporting industries like fishing, forestry and agriculture. It was hardworking people like our ancestors who did this work, building the foundation of Washington’s booming economy. One such person was our founder Steve Mork’s grandfather, who was a pioneering fisherman in the West Coast waters. He embodied Norwegian values of hard work, perseverance, family, and innovation, and Steve aims to do the same by producing high-quality wines that continue the family’s legacy and highlight the natural resources of Washington State. We are proud of Washington state and our Norwegian heritage. Mork Wines marries the two by producing Washington wines with a hint of Norwegian happiness. |

OUR AVAsProud Washington WinemakersOur grapes are sourced from Washington State's Columbia Valley, specifically the Wahluke Slope AVA, and and the state's newest AVA founded in 2012, Ancient Lakes.
The region's high elevation, low rainfall, and long sun-filled days make it the perfect place to grow the red and white grapes featured in our wines. |

Norwegian Art InspiredRosemaling is a Norwegian folk art characterized by exuberance, color, and fluid lines. For Mork Wines, it is a proud symbol of our Norwegian heritage and an inspiration for our wines, each of which have a bold representation of rosemaling as their label.
The Artist - Gunn Helene NordgaardA core value of Mork Wines is authenticity, and we wanted this reflected in our labels. This brought us to Gunn, an accomplished graphic designer from Norway. Gunn married her edgy style with elements of traditional rosemaling, resulting in our unmistakable labels. Outside of graphic design and marketing, Gunn is a mother of two and outdoor enthusiast with an affinity for hiking and biking.
